House of Flowers awards ceremony honors women in theater

The House of Flowers may bring up one image, but we’ve discovered a different interpretation that we thought you might like to hear about. Named for a 1954 Truman Capote musical, the House of Flowers is a special gala event that’s all about women’s empowerment. Halloween flowers kick off the holiday season.

With Halloween just a couple of weeks away and the de facto start of the holiday season, it’s time to start thinking about seasonal flowers. For Halloween and Thanksgiving, oranges and golds are reflective of the time of year, fall or early winter depending on where you are. Flowers make an excellent centerpiece to a festive table and are welcoming when the days are getting shorter and colder. Continue reading
